Education

I graduated from Alba High School (now Alma Bryant High School) in Bayou La Batre, AL, in 1979. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Accounting from the University of South Alabama (1984) and a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education/English Language Arts from the University of South Alabama (1992). 

Experience

I retired from the Mobile County Public School System in May 2019 with 26 years of experience in teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts - Regular and Advanced levels. The schools I served in were Alba Middle/High School (1 year), Baker Middle School (7 years), Causey Middle School (15 years), and Grand Bay Middle School (3 years). I am excited to be teaching at North Mobile Christian School this year. I believe God has placed me here for a reason, and I am so thankful for this opportunity. Bio

I was born and raised in the Coden/Bayou La Batre, AL area. My mother was a high school teacher in the Mobile County Public School System for 27 years, and as a result, I have had the love of education in my background from an early age. My husband, Marion, and I met at Sage Avenue Baptist Church and were married in 1988. We enjoy traveling, eating out, and watching old TV shows together. We are both members of Crawford Baptist Church. I have played the piano for over 50 years, and I fill in on the piano and keyboard at local churches when needed.
