Weekly Objectives:

Bible

Lesson 26 is entitled Daniel Shows His Wisdom. Our verse for the week will be James 1:5. Study the verses at home and study the information on the study guide the students bring home Thursday night.

Spelling

Our spelling words are from this week’s reading story “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. Students can practice on Spelling City.

Reading

We will be reading the story “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” this week. The skills are judgements and decisions and root words.

Vocabulary: avoid, brief, frequently, gradual, periods, report                                          

Keep working on AR! Students should read 20 minutes each night, in addition to their homework assignments. They may come in each day ready to take a test on the books they have read at home.  The students know their new AR goals.

Language

Students will be learning about pronoun and verb agreement. 

Science

Students will be finishing Chapter 1 about plants and animals.

Math

Students will work or a few minutes each day on developing speed and accuracy with multiplication facts. This week students will work on multiplication by multiples of 10.

Handwriting

We will learn D’Nealian handwriting this year and will have a weekly assessment.
