National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Society recognizes sixth through eighth grade students for their outstanding performance in the areas of academics, leadership, service, and character. To be eligible for membership in the NMCS NJHS, the student must be in Middle School at NMCS. Each student must have a 90 overall average in all core subjects and conduct. Candidates are then evaluated on the basis of character, leadership and service by staff members. Once inducted, all members are required to maintain their high academic performance and to give at least 10 hours of service to others at school and in their community.
